The history of AEL
The head office of AEL is located in Leisnig in Saxony. This are the most important milestones in the development of our company:
1958 | Foundation | Foundation as VEB Apparatebau und Eisengießerei Leisnig; main product: machine parts made of cast iron. |
1965 | Heat exchanger | Heat exchanger are included in the product range in addition to casting products. |
1991 | Change of name | Following the political Change and Reunification, the company is converted to a limited liability company (GmbH). |
1996 | Privatisation | The managing directors Erhard Münch and Lothar Naumann purchase the company, which is now called AEL. |
1998 | System technology | AEL begins with the manufacture of oil supply systems. |
2002 | Investment | Construction of two new production halls. |
2004 | Product innovation | The first shell and tube heat exchanger with plate-fin bundle is developed. |
2011 | Change in management | Sebastian Münch succeeds his father, Erhard Münch. Mario Richter is appointed as the third managing director. |
