The history of AEL

The head office of AEL is located in Leisnig in Saxony. This are the most important milestones in the development of our company:

1958	Foundation	Foundation as VEB Apparatebau und Eisengießerei Leisnig; main product: machine parts made of cast iron.
1965	Heat exchanger	Heat exchanger are included in the product range in addition to casting products.
1991	Change of name	Following the political Change and Reunification, the company is converted to a limited liability company (GmbH).
1996	Privatisation	The managing directors Erhard Münch and Lothar Naumann purchase the company, which is now called AEL.
1998	System technology	AEL begins with the manufacture of oil supply systems.
2002	Investment	Construction of two new production halls.
2004	Product innovation	The first shell and tube heat exchanger with plate-fin bundle is developed.
2011	Change in management	Sebastian Münch succeeds his father, Erhard Münch. Mario Richter is appointed as the third managing director.
	Investment	Construction of two new production halls.
2013	New foundation	Foundation of the ANA Prozesstechnik GmbH; specialised in vacuum technology.
2015	Taking over	Taking over of employees from MAG (MWL Apparatebau GmbH Grimma).
2016	Management system	Introduction of an integrated management system for the entire production process. Increasing international focus of the company.
2017	Acquisition	Increase in production capacity via the acquisition of the production halls of the former MAG in Grimma
